NBA Double Dribble 2/14/08
Welcome to a special edition of NBA Double Dribble. Since it is Valentine’s day, there will be no negative comments made about any team I talk about. Instead, there will be much love given to these special teams.
San Antonio Spurs (34-17) – 112 Cleveland Cavaliers (29-23) – 105
The Cavs scored 105 with a bunch of scrubs guys that try really hard and still lost. There should be an investigation! Of course, it doesn’t help that the NBA gods granted Manu Ginobili near perfection from the 3 point line where he went 8 of 11 and 15 for 20 from the field overall. His 46 points were 2 shy of a career high. LeBron did all he could do, scoring 18 of his 39 in the 4th Quarter, but those damn excellent Spurs scored 41 points in the 4th to pull away with a win.
Phoenix Suns (36-16) – 118 Golden State Warriors (32-20) – 120
Talk about a game that was made for T.V. Shaq looked tired as hell pumped just watching this game. In a showcase of great guards, Baron Davis (27 points 13 assts) outplayed dueled Steve Nash (20 points 12 assts) in one of the better games all season. Amare had 29, but missed one of two from the line with 3.5 to go which left Golden State in front for the rest of the game. Wouldn’t this be a fun first round match up?
Washington Wizards (25-27) – 91 LA Clippers (17-33) – 89
The Wizards have played pretty well on their West Coast road trip, considering they have played most of it without Caron Butler. Reports are swirling that Agent Zero will be back practicing with the team after the All Star break, which is great news. If the Wizards can get their big 3 healthy for playoff time, they are going to be a tough draw in the first round of the playoffs. On the Clippers side…. Happy Valentine’s Day?

I find it hard to believe the man who stole last night performance will not be at the All-Star.
That’s just sad!!!!
I would love to hear your opinion on my blog.
